Environmental Policies and Guidelines
The CBSUA Environmental Policy and Guidelines discusses its policies on the continued adoption of austerity measures on water conservation, energy conservation, recycling programs, and clean air programs . The water conservation program involves cost-cutting measures to save water and maximize the use of water witin the CBSUA premises. The energy conservation program discusses policies on the turning on and off of air conditioning units in all offices, including an aircon holiday. All lights and electrical devices shall be turned off and plugged out when no one is using them, leaving only minimal light for illumination during nighttime. The Recycling program encourages all stakeholders, public and private entities, to reduce as much waste is possible. Caterers, business center operators, and vendors in the University are mandated to bring home-generated garbage. And lastly, the Clean Air program prohibits the selling of cigarettes and other smoking devices within the university premises, adhering to the Clean Air act initiatives of the government.
