The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through its Agricultural Economics Unit under the SUSLIVES Program, conducted a Training-Workshop on Effective Record Keeping, Costing, Pricing, and Policy Development for Cooperative and Association Success on April 27, 2026, at the CBSUA Auditorium, San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur.

Organized in cooperation with the Fundaciรณn de Religiosos para la Salud (FRS), DSWD-SLP Pili, and the LGU-Pili through its Municipal Cooperative Development Council, the activity brought together cooperative and association members to build practical skills in financial management, record keeping, and policy formulation โ€” all geared toward strengthening the sustainability and governance of community-based organizations.

The event was graced by key officials who delivered messages of support, including Abigail V. Guinoo, Director of the Extension Services Division; Fortunato M. Balbis Jr., PhD, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources; Rosemarie Velasco, DSWD-SLP Coordinator for Pili; and Allan B. Del Rosario, PhD, Campus Administrator of CBSUA-Pili. The SUSLIVES Program was represented by its Program Leader, Vladimir R. Foronda, PhD.

Key resource persons led the sessions, including Maria Victoria P. Balderas, Unit Head of the Agricultural Economics Unit, who discussed the Essentials of Record Keeping, and Jason Oliver S. Reyes, who presented the Policy Formulation segment. Product Costing and Pricing was handled by Ardolf B. Arce of the Department of Tourism Management-CEM.
