The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Department of Food Science honored its nine successful examinees in the 2026 Food Technologists Licensure Examination during a Recognition and Testimonial Ceremony on September 23 at the Agro-Processing and Food Technology Center Function Hall.
The event commenced with a thanksgiving mass at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish Church.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of certificates and tokens to the board passers. Among the honorees, Bryan D. Vargas, PFT, who achieved 9th place nationwide, received a β±30,000 cash incentive in recognition of his top-ranking performance.
Dean Glaiza Visitacion expressed her gratitude to the passers for bringing pride to the university while acknowledging the essential support of their parents, faculty members, and the CBSUA community.
Encouraging the honorees, Vice President for Administration and Finance Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo emphasized the strength of CBSUA graduates. βOur graduates and passers are never left behind; we are always competitive,β Faurillo said. He reminded the new professionals that passing the licensure examination is not the conclusion of their journey, but rather the beginning.
