CBSUA ACHIEVES 95.7% COMPLIANCE RATING IN DOE ENERGY EFFICIENCY, CONSERVATION PERFORMANCE AUDIT

Following the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EE&C) Performance Assessment conducted by the Department of Energy (DOE) on October 5, 2026, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Main Campus received its assessment results on November 4, 2026, posting a 95.7% compliance rating, equivalent to Grade A and a five-star rating, under the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP).

The assessment recognized the University’s energy efficiency and conservation initiatives, institutional policies, and practices in managing energy consumption. These include the use of LED lighting systems, energy conservation reminders and policies, regular maintenance of air-conditioning units, and the 66-kWp solar photovoltaic facility at the Agriville and Learning Hub.

The result reflects the University’s efforts to improve energy management, promote responsible resource utilization, and integrate energy conservation into its campus operations in support of national energy conservation goals.

CBSUA credits this milestone to the collective efforts of the University administration, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee, offices, faculty members, personnel, and students whose cooperation contributed to this achievement.
