The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) – College of Economics and Management (CEM), in collaboration with the Zonta Club of Naga City, PNP R-PSB and the Local Government of Barangay Capucnasan, successfully conducted a “Training on Community Engagement for Green Tourism” on July 5, 2024, at the Barangay Covered Court in Capucnasan, Milaor, Camarines Sur.
The training aimed to impart essential knowledge on maintaining environmentally friendly practices while creating opportunities of livelihood for the community. The focus was on promoting sustainable tourism that balances environmental stewardship with community development.
Mr. Enrique Villamor, Chairperson of the Department of Tourism Management under the College of Economics and Management, provided valuable insights into fostering eco-friendly tourism. He highlighted the importance of integrating sustainability into tourism practices, emphasizing that “we need to find joy in every piece of knowledge we acquire” to sustain human development.
One of the guest speakers, Ms. Marianina Cabral, Treasurer of the Zonta Club, shared her entrepreneurial journey.
