The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Pili Campus, through its fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Extension students, successfully conducted a Strategic and Operational Planning Seminar for farmers from Camarines Sur on December 12, 2025, at the Multi-Purpose Building of Barangay Sto. Niño, Pili, Camarines Sur.
This initiative was implemented under the Knowledge Advancement for Promoting Agricultural Technologies and Innovative Development to Rural Communities (KAPATID) Program, led by Dr. Fortunato M. Balbis, Jr., Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The seminar aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of strategic development and operational planning, highlighting their essential roles in organizational growth, efficiency, and effective service delivery, particularly within agricultural and community-based organizations.
Two distinguished resource speakers shared their expertise during the activity. Carlton O. Samson, Block Farm Technical Officer and Licensed Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer, discussed strategic planning frameworks and their practical application in agricultural organizations. Joining him was Christopher B. Besa, also a Block Farm Technical Officer, who focused on the key elements and processes of strategic planning, emphasizing operational alignment and community impact.
The event was made possible with the support of Barangay Sto. Niño, led by Brgy. Captain Erwin M. Borja, whose assistance significantly contributed to the successful implementation of the seminar.
Participants actively engaged in the lectures and open forum, making the seminar a productive platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and capacity building. The activity further reinforced CBSUA’s commitment to community extension and the development of strategic and operational competencies among stakeholders. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘊𝘉𝘚𝘜𝘈–𝘉𝘚𝘈 4𝘌1 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴
