CBSUA EMPOWERS FACULTY RESEARCHERS THROUGH SCOPUS TRAINING WORKSHOP

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) successfully conducted a coaching activity titled “Pathway to Publication: A Scopus Training Workshop” on December 12, 2025, at the Farmers’ Ideation Hall, CBSUA Agriville and Learning Hub.

The activity brought together faculty researchers from all CBSUA campuses to strengthen research productivity and international publication engagement, while providing essential knowledge and practical skills on the use of Scopus-indexed journals, adherence to international publication standards, and improvement of manuscript quality. It also addressed common publication challenges, including journal selection, manuscript preparation, and ethical considerations in scholarly writing.

Distinguished resource speakers supported the activity, led by Associate Professor Arce Bellere, PhD, who provided expert insights on research writing strategies, publication ethics, and methods to maximize the impact of scholarly outputs. He was joined by Mr. Tom Rodriguez and Ms. Kyla Madlangbayan, who presented the use of scientific image and illustration software, as well as bibliometric analysis and visualization to enhance research dissemination.

Faculty researchers actively participated in interactive discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and open forums, where they raised concerns and shared experiences related to manuscript development and journal submission, encouraging knowledge exchange across disciplines and campuses and fostering a culture of research excellence within the University.

The successful conduct of the workshop underscores CBSUA’s sustained efforts to enhance faculty research capabilities and promote publication in reputable international journals, as the University continues to empower its researchers to contribute high-quality and impactful research at both national and global levels. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘳.
