The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the Technology Assessment Management Committee (TAMC) under the Research Services Division (RSD), conducted an Internal Technology Assessment and Evaluation on August 5–6, 2026, at the Research Conference Room to assess technologies generated from 40 completed research projects.
The two-day activity brought together research and innovation directors and technical representatives from various units of the University to evaluate the presented technologies based on their quality, safety, efficacy, and potential for utilization.
The evaluation also aimed to identify appropriate pathways for the technologies, including instruction, production, intellectual property protection, dissemination, and commercialization.
Researchers presented technologies developed from their completed projects before the technical team, composed of representatives from the Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO), Technology Commercialization and Promotion Division (TCPD), Extension Services Division (ESD), Knowledge Management Center (KMC), and Research Services Division (RSD) units.
The presentations were followed by question-and-answer sessions and technical deliberations, where evaluators provided recommendations on the further development, protection, utilization, and possible commercialization of the technologies.
Dr. Mae S.A. Lustre, Director of the Research Services Division, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of assessing research outputs before their application and further utilization.
Meanwhile, Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano encouraged researchers to remain committed to their work and emphasized that research should ultimately respond to the needs of communities.
