The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) proudly welcomed back two BS Food Technology students on March 16, 2026 after completing their exchange under the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme at the University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan.
Ms. Shien P. Agreda and Mr. John Carl B. Labanon, both 3rd-year students, studied at the School of Life and Bioresource Sciences during the Fall Semester (October 2025โFebruary 2026). During their courtesy visit to University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, they shared their overall experience of the program. Dr. Naperi advised the two, through the IRO, to conduct an echoing about the program across the campuses of CBSUA.
CBSUA has been part of the AIMS Program since 2014 through the Commission on Higher Education โ International Affairs Service (CHED-IAS), and is one of 17 Philippine Higher Education Institutions implementing the program. To date, CBSUA has sent 17 exchange students abroad. For Academic Year 2025โ2026, six undergraduates were awarded mobility grants to partner institutions in Japan and Thailand.
The AIMS Programme, spearheaded by SEAMEO-RIHED, fosters student mobility and academic cooperation across Asia, involving 10 member countries, 90 partner institutions, and seven disciplines.
