The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) conducted a Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar for the 2026 NIP participants on March 16, 2026, at the Office of the Vice President for Business and External Affairs (OVPBEA), featuring comprehensive presentations and discussions to prepare participants for their upcoming international academic engagement.

The orientation formally introduced the 2026 NIP participants: Jasmin B. Sinahonon from Pili Campus, Gwen Nicole M. Rodrigo from Pasacao Campus, Alex Tristan G. Leosala from Sipocot Campus, and Ivan R. Lumabe from Calabanga Campus, who represent CBSUA’s four campuses and are set to gain international exposure in Belgium, broaden their academic knowledge, and bring back insights to benefit both their respective programs and the wider university community.

The activity included a presentation on the background of CBSUA and VIVES University of Applied Sciences, as well as discussions on the structure and objectives of the NIP 2026. Campus administrators from all four CBSUA campuses shared messages of support, stating the university’s shared commitment to fostering meaningful international academic partnerships.

CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi congratulated the parents of the participants and reminded the students of the importance of cooperation and camaraderie to ensure a successful and rewarding experience abroad.

Key topics covered during the orientation included program expectations and essential administrative processes such as immigration requirements and pre-departure deliverables. An open forum with the participants and their parents was also conducted to address questions and concerns, ensuring that all participants are well-prepared for the program.

The students are scheduled to travel to Belgium for the said program, from March 23 to April 3, 2026, accompanied by Prof. Vladimir Florinda, CBSUA Focal Person for the Synergy Program of West Flanders in Bicol, Camarines Sur, and Francis Leo Loberanes, Coordinator of the Intensive Program.
