The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources–Department of Animal Science, conducted a two-day training seminar titled “Pro-DUCK Seminar: Profitable Duck Industry through Sustainable ItikPINAS Production and Technology” on February 19–20, 2026, at the Farmers’ Training Hall, Pili Campus.
The seminar was under the PCAARRD-funded project, “Creating a Stable Supply of Duck and Duck Eggs in Camarines Sur through ItikPINAS Production,” and gathered participants who aim to enhance their knowledge and skills in sustainable duck production.
Implemented in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), the activity featured expert-led discussions on the importance of ItikPINAS production, market opportunities, breeding and brooding management, health and sanitation, waste management and biosecurity protocols, and proper laying management procedures.
