The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) highlighted its pathway to global recognition as Dr. Cherry Love B. Montales, Vice President for Business and External Affairs, and Ms. Rose Lynnor A. Matos, Director of Quality Assurance, shared the Universityโs journey toward world university rankings during the Research for Accreditation and World Ranking held on February 5โ7, 2026, at Cagayan de Oro.
The session centered on CBSUAโs experience with the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), detailing key submission categories, evaluation criteria, and the step-by-step submission process. Dr. Montales underscored how innovation-driven initiatives, social impact, and evidence-based documentation helped position CBSUA competitively, while Ms. Matos emphasized the role of quality assurance systems in aligning institutional practices with global benchmarks.
Participants gained practical insights into organizing data, packaging narratives of innovation, and sustaining institutional readiness for rankings, particularly relevant for universities preparing for accreditation and international benchmarking.
The three-day forum was organized by the Asian Association for Academic Integrity and convened higher education leaders and researchers in Cagayan de Oro. Ms. Christine Allen Riza N. Boncodin served as moderator and Assoc. Prof. Ana Vera V. Hugo served as facilitator, guiding discussions and ensuring productive knowledge exchange throughout the event.
