CBSUA, LGU PILI PREPARE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS FOR ECCD ACCREDITATION

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pili have partnered to strengthen the accreditation of Child Development Centers (CDCs) and Child Development Workers (CDWs) in the municipality through the provision of technical assistance and consultancy services for the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) accreditation process.

Leading the initiative were Dr. Raquel M. Reapor and Dr. Rolando P. Oloteo, who were designated as consultants to guide the municipality in organizing documentary requirements and meeting the standards of the updated ECCD accreditation tool.

An orientation was conducted on June 10, 2026, at Bluish Resort during the celebration of Child Development Workers Week, where child development workers were briefed on the accreditation process, documentary requirements, and evaluation standards. The activity was supervised by Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Rosephine R. Sertan.

From July 6 to 10, Dr. Reapor and Dr. Oloteo visited 16 Child Development Centers in the barangays of Bagong Sirang, Del Rosario, Curry, Binanuanan, San Jose, Cadlan, Old San Roque, San Vicente, San Antonio, Anayan, New San Roque, Sagrada, Caroyroyan, and Tinangis to monitor each center’s readiness for accreditation. Child Development Workers and barangay officials assisted in the review and organization of the required documents.

The consultants are expected to conduct a final review of the documentary requirements with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office before a mock accreditation is conducted to assess the centers’ preparedness for the official ECCD evaluation. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘊𝘈𝘚, 𝘊𝘋𝘌
