The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) hosted the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the project SIRIP: Strengthening Indigenous Resources, Initiatives, and Potentials through Bayanihan Governance Project on March 23, 2026, at the CBSUA Pili Campus Boardroom. The project aims to strengthen local governance, build capacity, and promote sustainable development opportunities for Indigenous communities in Camarines Sur through collaborative efforts among partner institutions.
Dr. Jesusa B. Taumatorgo, Director of the Regional Center for Indigenous People (RCIP), presented the project background, stressing its focus on strengthening local governance, building capacity, and promoting sustainable development opportunities for Indigenous communities in Camarines Sur.
PTF Asia Foundation Inc. President Hector P. Crisostomo V emphasized the importance of partnerships in addressing community needs through education, innovation, and shared responsibility, highlighting their role in supporting sustainable livelihood and social development. CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi reaffirmed the universityโs commitment to delivering community-based programs that translate academic expertise into responsive and inclusive development initiatives.
CBSUA Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano highlighted the role of research-driven initiatives in strengthening community development efforts, noting that the SIRIP project integrates research, extension, and stakeholder collaboration to support long-term community resilience.
