CBSUA SIPOCOT HOLDS PRESENTATION OF SPONSORS, ESCORTS FOR NSTP CADETS

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture–Sipocot Campus, through the National Service Training Program – Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (NSTP-ROTC) and the Department of Military Science and Tactics (DMST), successfully conducted the traditional Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts on December 6, 2025, at the CBSUA Cultural Hall. The event celebrated and honored the sponsors and escorts of cadet officers who exemplify discipline, service, and moral integrity.

The ceremony opened with a warm Welcome Remarks from NSTP Coordinator Prof. Mercy L. Navarro, who expressed her gratitude to the sponsors, escorts, and cadet officers for embracing their roles with sincerity and dedication.

Assistant Commandant CPT Junald V. Lacsamana (QMS) PA solemnly read the official orders prior to the highlight of the ceremony—the Introduction and Charging of Duties and Responsibilities to Key Personalities, led by COL Ferozaldo Paul T. Regencia, INF (GSC) RES PA, University Commandant. He reminded the sponsors and escorts of their vital responsibility to support and motivate the cadets as they continue to embody discipline, character, and service.

This was followed by the Acceptance of Obligations and Reading of Commitment, where the Junior Sponsors, Senior Sponsors, Lady and Gentleman Escorts, Matron and Patron of Sponsors, and the Dean of Sponsors affirmed their pledge to guide and uphold the ideals of leadership and integrity within the corps.

A memorable part of the program was the Giving of Roses to the sponsors and female cadet officers, led by the Advance Cadet Officers. The gesture symbolized respect, honor, and gratitude toward those who accepted the noble role of supporting the cadets’ journey.

CBSUA Sipocot Campus Administrator Prof. Rowel M. Castuera formally introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, paving the way for an inspiring message from SUC President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, DPA. In his address, Dr. Naperi emphasized unity, mentorship, and service—values nurtured by the NSTP program that extend beyond academic life and into real-world community engagement.

The event concluded with a strong sense of pride and strengthened camaraderie among cadets, sponsors, and university officials. The Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts stands as a meaningful tradition reaffirming CBSUA’s commitment to developing responsible, service-oriented, and nation-ready students.

A solemn Candle Lighting Ceremony and a Toast led by key CBSUA officials further highlighted collective hopes and well-wishes for the cadet officers as they embark on their leadership journey. The ceremony culminated with the Cadet’s Ball, marking a significant milestone for CBSUA Sipocot Campus and celebrating the unity, discipline, and aspirations of the Corps of Cadets.
