The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) joined officials of the Municipality of Pili, Camarines Sur, on February 4, 2026, during the Sangguniang Bayan committee meeting for the first reading of the proposed Youth Empowerment through Initiatives in Agricultural Practices, Strategies, and Innovations (YOUNGSTERS) Ordinance, aimed at institutionalizing youth-focused agricultural programs in the municipality.
Authored by Hon. Manuel Liam B. Tormes, SK Federation Representative, the ordinance seeks to strengthen youth involvement in agricultural development through structured, sustainable, and innovation-driven initiatives, in partnership with CBSUA.
CBSUA was represented by Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and Ms. Abigail V. Guinoo, Director of the Extension Services Division. The Municipal Agriculture Office of Pili also participated, led by Mr. Geronimo R. Ayo, Acting Municipal Agriculturist, along with Mr. Rodel M. Gerbeles, AT/MUPAP and OAP Focal Person, and Mr. Basil DR. Layosa, AT/LYDO Designate, represented by Mr. Jon Von Andry Zaballa.
