True to the commitment of the University to provide quality education experiences of global standards to faculty and students, the OVPAA spearheaded a 2-day Enhancement Training on the use of the Virtual Learning Portal for faculty on September 21-22, 2021.
The newly enhanced VLP highlights the different features deemed to provide faculty and students a worthwhile experience in navigation, uploading, and downloading of the different assessment activities. Moreover, the VLP offers functional communication tools for both faculty and students to establish good communication that is seen to address the concerns in the respective courses of the students and vice-versa.
The enhancement of the VLP was made possible through the efforts of the Office of the President, Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs Cluster, headed by Dr. Ana E. Miraรฑa, and through the support of CHED IDI Grant that is aimed to bring the University closer to the community.
The President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, expressed in his message the strong desire of the University to continuously improve the delivery of services especially on instructions this now normal which our students truly deserved.
The said enhancement training was well-attended by the 216 faculty members from Calabanga, Pasacao, Pili, and Sipocot Campuses.
Representatives of Nephila Web Technology Inc., the external provider, served as resource speakers. They were able to demonstrate the different add-ons to the VLP. Also, they were able to answer the different queries of the faculty after the respective presentations. Both students and faculty are now enjoying the newly face-lifted VLP. With these and all, learning becomes more fun and engaging!
