The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture thru its SUC IV President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the partner agencies and organizations on Productivity Enhancement through Agro-forestry and Community Engagement (PEACE) on 17 October 2019 at Sangguniang Bayan ng Bula.
The said MOA signing was created after the successful conduct of “Peace Forum” for establishing an inter-agency cooperation to support the national government in attaining “permanent and lasting peace” for Bulaeños. After a series of follow-up activities and coordination, the partnership and cooperation of the agencies was formalized.
The CBSUA will provide faculty with technical expertise on Organic Agriculture and farming Systems, Bamboo Production, Marketing and Farming Systems,Computer-based Resource Inventory and Valuation System, Project Proposal Preparation for Funding, Disaster Risk Reduction Management and Vulnerability Assessment and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Survey Mapping and Planning, and Swine Poultry Production and Processing.
Other partner agencies present were the Regional Offices of Department of Agriculture(DA), Department of Environment and Natural resources (DENR), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Bicol Regional Evangelistic Association for Development, Inc. (BREAD), Department of Science and Technology (DOST),Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine National Police (PNP), 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (9ID, PA) and Association of Barangay Chairpersons.
