Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and Sorsogon State University (SSU) inked Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on establishing Provincial Apiculture Center in the latter on 15 April 2021.
CBSUA represented by SUC President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi and SSU represented by its President, Dr. Helen R. Lara led the said ceremony.
CBSUA- Regional Apiculture Center thru its Director, Prof. Lilia Pasiona spearheaded the organization of the apiary at SSU Castilla Campus with its Campus Administrator, Prof. Susan Astillero.
With the support of CBSUA President, Dr. Naperi, VPRI, Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez, Pili, Sipocot, and Calabanga Campuses’ Administrators, Dr. Celerino Llesol, Prof. Zeus Lositaño, and Dr. Cornelio Funtanar, respectively, Research and Extension Divisions’ Directors, Dr. Aries Ativo and Prof. Vladimir Foronda, Prof. Pasiona nailed the said activity, reviving the center established years ago.
This is part of the initiatives of the RAC in promoting stingless beekeeping in the Bicol Region.
