On June 11, 2023, the NSTP held its 21st Graduation Ceremony with the theme, “From Service to Success, Shifting Perspective, Embracing Opportunities, Celebrating Perseverance,” which set the tone for the event and highlighted the transformative journey the graduates had embarked on during their National Service Training Program (NSTP) experience.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Ana E. Miraรฑa, the Vice President for Academic Affairs. She extended her heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and expressed her appreciation for their commitment to the NSTP program.

Following the welcome remarks, the graduates were presented by component, starting with the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). Colonel Ferozaldo Paul T. Regencia, the ROTC University Commandant, took the stage to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the ROTC graduates. Ms. Christine Allen Riza N. Boncodin, the CWTS/LTS Coordinator, presented the graduates from the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) components.

Dr. ย Alberto N. Napari, the SUC President IV, proudly declared the graduates, recognizing their hard work, determination, and commitment to service.

A significant event during the graduation ceremony was the turnover of cadets to the Reserve Force. Colonel Ferozaldo Paul T. Regencia once again took the stage, representing the ROTC University Commandant, as he oversaw the transition of these exemplary cadets to the next phase of their military careers.

The acceptance to the Reserve Force was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Edgar R. Madrid PA (RES), the 502nd CDC Battalion Commander and Assistant Commandant. The ceremony continued with the oath-taking, led by Lieutenant Colonel Ricky N. Parcon INF (GSC) PA, the 502nd CDC Director and ROTC Supervisor.

Ms. Precy Gill Temporal, the LTS-CWTS President, presented the Leadership Award to a deserving student who had demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities during their NSTP journey. Cadet Colonel Marvin B. Occiano, the 1CLโ€“Regimental Commander, received this prestigious award.

Colonel Rodel L. Tan MI (GSC) PA, the Group Commander of the 5th RCDG and ROTC Superintendent, and Colonel Ferozaldo Paul T. Regencia INF GSC (RES) PA, the ROTC University Commandant delivered inspirational messages to the graduates.

The introduction of the keynote speaker was carried out by Dr. Melchora V. Abonal, the Director of NSTP. She introduced Engr. Geronimo A. Buenavente, Ph.D., an Educational Supervisor II and the NSTP Focal Person, who delivered a keynote message highlighting the significance of the NSTP program and its role in fostering active citizenship and societal development.

Dr. Celerino B.
