PROJECT SEED-LAK PROMOTES ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AMONG JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Central Bicol State University-Sipocot, in partnerhsip with the Office of the Student Regent (OSR) carried out Project SEED-LAK (Sowing Environmental Education, Discipline, Learning, Awareness, and Kindness) at Manangle High School, on December 10, 2025, promoting sustainability and long-term environmental responsibility.

This initiative is designed for Grade 7–8 learners to nurture environmental education, discipline, learning, awareness, and kindness. The program began with an orientation, followed by a Tree Growing Activity where students learned the value of planting and protecting life. An engaging Environmental Forum then opened deeper conversations about caring for the environment. The SEED-LAK Educational Booklet was also distributed, crafted to guide and inspire students toward responsible environmental action. The day ended with simple acts of joy through the giving of early Christmas gifts.

The activity also featured resource speakers: Forester Ma. Pia S. Cariño-Forester III/ Chief, Conservation and Development Section; and Ms. Louna Charisse Sapugay-Ecosystems Management Specialist II/ Protected Area Superintendent–LCNP.

Through Project SEED-LAK, the SSC and the Office of the Student Regent reaffirmed the university’s continued mission to cultivate a generation that values, protects, and champions the environment. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴. 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘦 𝘔. 𝘓𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘰, 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵
