University Quality Assurance Office

         The Quality Assurance Office is under the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and is headed by a Director.  The office works closely with the campuses, colleges and support units of the university to conduct regular quality assurance reviews, audits, accreditations, and assessments.   It has the responsibility to support the achievement of the university strategic goals toward ensuring quality and continuous improvement.

Specifically, the office will provide leadership for quality assurance and good practices in the University; develop and implement effective quality mechanisms to facilitate quality assurance; communicate and implement plans to bring the University’s institutional effectiveness and policies into compliance with international standards; establish clearly defined quality methods for administration, faculty members and non-teaching
personnel; oversee the implementation of the University-wide quality assurance endeavors; coordinate with various campuses of the University regarding quality assurance and enhancement of management systems, thus ensuring that the mechanisms, procedures and processes are followed to maintain quality level; promote active engagement of administrators, faculty members and non-teaching personnel in quality improvement in all functions of the University; ensure the compliance of the University with  International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) and AACCUP accreditation of academic programs and the institution as a whole.

 

There shall be a University Quality Assurance Office headed by an Officer who shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
a. Provide leadership for quality assurance and good practices in the University;
b. Develop and implement effective quality mechanisms to facilitate quality assurance;
c. Communicate and implement quality assurance plans to bring the University’s institutional effectiveness and
policies into compliance with international standards;
d. Establish clearly defined quality methods for administration, faculty members and non-teaching
personnel;
e. Oversee the implementation of the University-wide quality assurance endeavors;
f. Coordinate with various campuses of the University regarding quality assurance and enhancement of
management systems, thus ensuring that the mechanisms, procedures and processes are followed to maintain quality level;
g. Promote active engagement of administrators, faculty members and non-teaching personnel in quality
improvement in all functions of the University;
h. Ensure the compliance of the University with Institutional Sustainability Assessment and Accreditation in both program and institutional accreditation;
i. Assess the effectiveness of institutional systems and procedures;
j. Prepare Operational Plan, Work and Financial Plan (WFP), and Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) of the
University Quality Assurance Office; and
k. Perform other duties and functions as delegated by the University President.
