The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through its Research Services Division (RSD), conducted a two-day Research and Development Project Review and Information Dissemination (RDPRID) on February 4–5, 2026, assessing 38 completed research studies that address community needs and regional development priorities.
Over the two-day event, 19 projects were presented daily, with external evaluators offering expert recommendations to ensure the research is relevant, practical, and community-focused.
The panel of external evaluators included Dr. Garry Vanz V. Blancia of Romblon State University (RSU), Dr. Plutomeo M. Nievez of the University of Santo Tomas–Legazpi (UST–Legazpi), Dr. Ryan V. Dio of Sorsogon State University (SSU), Dr. Ernie C. Avila of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Dr. Jake M. Laguador of the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), and Dr. Marissa N. Estrella, former director of the Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development.
CBSUA Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano led the activity, stressing the importance of accountability, utilization, and tangible impact of research outputs. He emphasized that completed studies must be translated into programs, policies, technologies, and community-based interventions that truly benefit stakeholders. Meanwhile, RSD Director Dr. Mae S. A. Lustre highlighted the university’s commitment to maintaining high research standards, ensuring transparency, and sharing knowledge effectively.
The RDPRID activity supports CBSUA in strengthening research quality and sharing its findings promptly, ensuring that studies translate into knowledge and solutions that benefit communities and promote sustainable development. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘙𝘚𝘋
