CBSUA-PASACAO INKS MOA TO LAUNCH RESEARCH AIM PROGRAM

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture Pasacao campus formalized its first partnership agreement of the year on February 13, 2026, signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Department of Education (DepEd) partner schools and the MCGI Bible Readers to launch the Research AIM Program, a hybrid mentoring initiative for teachers and senior high school students.

The initiative, a research-extension endeavor of CBSUA Pasacao, consists of five extension projects aimed at strengthening research capability and student support. These include Research Tambayan, an online weekly podcast mini-series; a free face-to-face seminar-workshop on quantitative and qualitative research; a research peer mentoring program; and Talk, Ease, See with AIM, a mental health support initiative addressing teenage concerns through an advising podcast series.

The MOA signing was spearheaded by CBSUA Pasacao Extension Coordinator Associate Professor Judith J. Aban, TCAD Director Dr. Jayson Danas, and Campus Administrator Dr. Kristine Mae C. Regaspi. Program proponents present during the signing were Dr. Divina Gracia R. Galang (Research Tambayan), Dr. Michael Nolasco (Qualitative Research), Associate Professor Marben A. Orogo (Quantitative Research), Mrs. Maricar Mendoza (Research Peer Mentoring), and Associate Professor Aban (Talk, Ease, See with AIM).

Representatives from partner schools under the Department of Education also attended and expressed support for the program’s implementation. Among the attendees were Dr. Maria Antonia P. Borromeo, Principal III of Pamplona National High School; Mrs. Eva V. Basco, Principal I of Don Mariano C. Veneracion National High School; Dr. Lorenzo Z. Manago, Principal I of Pasacao National High School; Mr. Antonio Caesar A. Valencia, representing Dr. Decimo Espiritu of Juan F. Trivino Memorial High School; Mr. Christian Canaco, representing Mr. Arlando A. Imperial of Rolando Andaya Sr. Memorial High School; and Bro. Marlon Igana of MCGI Bible Readers Camarines Sur Chapter.

The signing formalized the partnership among stakeholders, marking a collective commitment to collaboration, shared goals, and strengthened community engagement through research and mentoring initiatives.
