The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) officially joined the 2026 National Women’s Month celebration by launching its participation in the #PurpleWednesday campaign on March 4, 2026.
In a unified display of support for gender equality and women’s empowerment, students, faculty, and staff across the Calabanga, Pasacao, Pili, and Sipocot campuses wore purple attire to mark the first Wednesday of the month. The initiative is in solidarity with the Philippine Commission on Women’s (PCW) advocacy to promote an inclusive and equitable society.
The university administration stated that the activity aims to go beyond a simple dress code, serving as a visual reminder of the institution’s commitment to creating a safe and empowered environment for all genders.
CBSUA encourages its entire community to continue wearing purple every Wednesday throughout the month of March. By doing so, the university aims to amplify the message of the national theme, #WEcanbeEquALL, and foster a culture of respect and equity within and beyond the campus walls.
