The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) โ Guidance and Counseling Unit, conducted a Medical Mission and Consultation for Special Populations on March 26, 2026, at the Student Hub, Student Center, under Project EQUIP: A Special Program for Students with Special Needs and Disabilities.
The initiative provided accessible medical consultations and health guidance to students identified as being part of special populations, particularly those with special needs and disabilities. Invited physician Dr. Mark Rustique extended medical services and wellness advice tailored to the studentsโ individual conditions and health concerns.
The activity aimed to ensure that students receive timely health assessment and preventive care within the university setting. Participants were given consultations addressing common health concerns, lifestyle-related conditions, and general wellness needs. Health education on proper nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices was also reinforced during the consultations.
With this project, CBSUA further strengthened its commitment to inclusive education to ensure that essential support services, including access to healthcare, remain responsive to the needs of vulnerable and underserved student groups, while advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 on Good Health and Well-being toward building a healthier and more supportive academic community.
