CBSUA HRMDO HOLDS ONBOARDING, PUBLIC SERVICE ORIENTATION FOR NEWLY HIRED AND PROMOTED STAFF

The Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) conducted a two-day Onboarding Program and Public Service Orientation for 204 newly hired and promoted faculty and non-teaching personnel on April 21–22, 2026, at the Alvaro Rabina Hall.

The activity formally welcomed the newly hired and promoted personnel into government service and provided an overview of the university’s strategic direction, governance systems, public service ethics, and human resource policies. A ceremonial oath-taking marked their official assumption of duties and reaffirmed their responsibilities as public servants.

Discussions during the first day included presentations on the University’s 25-Year Development Plan, Integrated Management System (IMS), and Environmental Management System (EMS), providing participants with a comprehensive overview of CBSUA’s long-term direction and operational standards. Sessions on public service governance and ethics, including Republic Act 6713 and Republic Act 11032, were also tackled.

The second day focused on government-mandated and institutional benefits, featuring representatives from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), PAG-IBIG Fund, and the Land Bank of the Philippines, alongside discussions on recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management, and rewards and recognition systems.

University President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi noted the value of responsibility and punctuality in public service, reminding employees to uphold professionalism and integrity in carrying out their duties. Vice President for Administration and Finance Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo emphasized the importance of fully engaging in the onboarding sessions to better understand institutional processes and expectations.

The HRMDO is expected to roll out additional capacity-building and employee development activities in the coming months to further strengthen personnel engagement and professional growth within the university.
