CBSUA AGRIVILLE, DAR CONDUCT COOPERATIVE LEADERSHIP SEMINAR-WORKSHOP

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Agriville and Learning Hub, in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Camarines Sur II, conducted a two-day seminar-workshop titled “Empowering Cooperatives: Building Leaders, Strengthening Communities,” anchored on the theme “From Members to Leaders,” on May 20–21, 2026, at the Agriville.

The activity gathered cooperative members and officers to strengthen their leadership capabilities, organizational skills, and community participation through a series of capability-building sessions.

The seminar covered four major topics on cooperative development, including Leadership and Management, Basic Strategic Planning, Basic Parliamentary Procedure, and Business Meeting and Cooperative Management. Discussions focused on effective leadership, organizational decision-making, goal setting, meeting protocols, and management practices essential in strengthening cooperative operations and governance.

Participants were also encouraged to develop strategies responsive to the needs of their organizations and communities while promoting discipline, participation, and collaboration within their cooperatives.

With the said activity, participants were equipped with practical knowledge and skills in leadership, planning, and cooperative management that they can apply in their respective organizations and communities. The activity also reflected the continuing partnership of CBSUA Agriville and DAR Camarines Sur II in supporting community-based organizations through capability-building and leadership development initiatives.
