The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) strengthened its partnership with the City Government of Naga and several government and private institutions through the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Naga Upland Green Canopy and Livelihood Program on July 29, 2026, at Naga View Adventist College in Panicuason, Naga City.
Representing CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano signed the agreement together with Naga City Mayor Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo and representatives from partner agencies, including the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region V, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region V, Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office V, Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Camarines Sur II, Metro Naga Water District (MNWD), and PLANTNATION Inc.
The partnership seeks to implement programs on urban agroforestry, watershed protection, biodiversity conservation, and landscape restoration within the Mt. Isarog Natural Park Buffer Zones and the Naga River Watershed, while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for upland communities.
Also present during the activity were Acting City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Marvin J. Sagun and Naga View Adventist College President Dr. Roger T. Indico, who welcomed the participating agencies and institutions.
