The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the Bicol RISER Project, CBSUA Vetiver Center, and CBSUA Agrivoltaic Farming Project, conducted a Training on Vetiver Technology for Department of Labor and EmploymentโTulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (DOLE-TUPAD) beneficiaries on August 26, 2026, at the Farmers Training Hall and CBSUA Agriville Hub
Participants underwent lectures and hands-on training on vetiver production and management, covering the preparation and selection of planting materials, propagation, field establishment, and processing of vetiver by-products.
Dr. Melchora A. Abonal, Director of the CBSUA Vetiver Center, served as the technical resource speaker and discussed the applications and potential of vetiver technology.
