To reinforce a safe, supportive, and psychologically healthy academic environment, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) held a university-wide seminar titled “School Safety: Understanding Risks, Prevention, and Student Well-being” on October 2, 2026, at the Student Center.
Organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) – Guidance & Counseling Unit in collaboration with the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), the activity gathered faculty members and non-teaching personnel across CBSUA campuses.
The initiative highlighted the collective responsibility of the university community in fostering student safety and holistic success. Key discussions centered on enhancing participants’ capacity to recognize early behavioral, emotional, social, and psychological indicators of student distress.
A major focus of the seminar was streamlining the university’s early identification and referral mechanisms. Organizers underscored that effective prevention relies on a collaborative framework linking students, faculty, parents, guidance personnel, and mental health professionals.
Because educators and staff interact closely with students daily, speakers emphasized their critical role as frontliners in detecting behavioral shifts, providing timely support, and guiding students toward professional intervention services. | | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴. 𝘓𝘦𝘪𝘻𝘭𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘰𝘣, 𝘙𝘎𝘊
