Dr. Darrel M. Ocampo, Associate Professor V and Dean of the College of Education (Sipocot Campus) of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), served as a member of the Ad Hoc Committee for the Department of Science and TechnologyโNational Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) GABAY Award under Division XI โ Humanities.
Upon the invitation of DOST-NRCP Executive Director Dr. Brian S. Bantugan, Dr. Ocampo joined fellow committee members Dr. Romeo P. Peรฑa and Dr. Shirley N. Dita in the virtual evaluation session held via Zoom on October 14, 2026.
The NRCP GABAY Award recognizes researchers whose outstanding accomplishments and significant contributions advance scientific knowledge, innovation, and societal development through Policy and Technology impact pathways.
As part of the evaluation committee, Dr. Ocampo participated in the assessment of nominees, contributing to a process that upholds fairness, objectivity, and credibility in recognizing research excellence.
