What began as a research initiative is now taking shape through technologies, community engagement, and opportunities for sustainable development.
On September 21, 2026, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the VetiVerde Project under BICOL RISER, presented its Phase I Report to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Regional Office V at the Regional Center Site, Rawis, Legazpi City, Albay.
The presentation highlighted the project’s journey and accomplishments, featuring developments in Vetiver Grass technology, Agroforestry and field applications, and Product development. It also showcased the project’s physical magazine report, documenting the activities, partnerships, and milestones achieved throughout its implementation.
Beyond presenting completed activities, the project team also shared its future vision through the proposed Phase II Roadmap, outlining the next steps and opportunities to further develop the potential of Vetiver Grass in addressing environmental challenges and creating sustainable benefits for communities.
The activity provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress made, recognize the contributions of project partners, and look forward to what more can be achieved through continued collaboration. Because the work does not end with what has been accomplished. It continues with what we can build, improve, and bring to more communities.
Together, let us continue growing possibilities through research, innovation, and partnership for a more resilient Bicol. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘊𝘺𝘳𝘪𝘭 𝘒𝘢𝘺𝘦 𝘔. 𝘋𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘴
