Lively music, colorful costumes, and enthusiastic performances filled the air as the College of Development Education (CDE) of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) in Pili, Camarines Sur, Philippines, spearheaded a cultural day event and send-off program for the exchange students from the Universitas Mataram (UNRAM) in Indonesia for the International Credit Transfer Program, on April 5, 2023 at the Laboratory High School Quadrangle, dubbed as “Lakbay: A Venture to Filipino and Indonesian Culture and Tradition.”

The event featured a rich showcase of cultural performances from various organizations within the college, including student-teachers from Benguet State University, as well as the exchange students from UNRAM. The performances included traditional dances, music, and rituals that highlighted the unique cultural heritage of both the Philippines and Indonesia. The exchange students from UNRAM also had the opportunity to showcase their own cultural performances, providing a valuable exchange of cultural experiences and fostering greater understanding and appreciation between the two nations.

Dr. Alberto Naperi, the president of CBSUA, expressed his gratitude to the CDE for their efforts in organizing the cultural day event and for their contribution to maintaining global standards in education. He sought assistance from the college to influence the other departments in collaborating with more universities around the globe.
