CBSUA COE SIPOCOT CONDUCTS WEBINAR ON GENDER ISSUES AWARENESS, PROMOTION OF SAFETY AND SECURITY

4Prof. Evangelina C. Pamada, the BTLED program chairperson, together with the College of Education spearheaded a 2-day Webinar on Gender Issues Awareness and Promotion of Safety and Security on November 26-27, 2022, via Zoom.

Day 1 started at 9:00 AM.
Prof. Ma. Expedita B. Artiaga, the first speaker, discussed Gender-related issues and aspects enclosed on the topic.

The next speaker was Prof. Rhea B. Abergos, the campus guidance counselor, shared views on the importance of parent and children relationship.

The day 2 commenced at the similar time schedule with a recapitulation of Day 1.

Police Corporal Vanessa Cherry Ann F. Paller, the first resource speaker, emphasized “Gender-related Laws on Safety and Protection against Violence” which included the Types of Violence against women, roles of local officials, as well as laws protecting women and children, were accentuated. PJGAD, PNCO Police Corporal Jennifer S. Bables—the second resource speaker—enveloped the lecture by further consolidating gender-based violence and the respective laws combating the issue. An open forum was done afterwards.
Students from various courses of CBSUA-Sipocot campus, and Education students with their parents from St. Peter Baptist College Foundation, were the participants of this webinar.

This webinar is one of the initiatives of the College of Education Sipocot to promote gender issues awareness and safety and security, not only on the students but also among their parents.
