The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)βCollege of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) formally pinned its junior and senior clinicians during its First Veterinary Cliniciansβ Pinning Ceremony on September 9, 2026, at the Alvaro Rabina Hall, ahead of their field deployment to 11 partner agencies across the Bicol Region.
The ceremony marked the cliniciansβ transition to hands-on clinical and field experience as part of their veterinary education and professional training. Their deployment will expose them to actual veterinary practice through their respective assignments in partner agencies.
The program featured the ceremonial pinning of the junior and senior clinicians, led by the CVM Faculty. This was followed by the cliniciansβ Pledge of Commitment led by Dr. Viviene Mae C. Alvina, Senior Clinical Instructor.
An orientation on the CBSUA internship guidelines was also conducted by Dr. Rochelle Arrabis, to prepare the clinicians for their upcoming field assignments.
Dr. Alberto M. Cabrera delivered the opening remarks, followed by a message of support from Dr. Allan B. Del Rosario, Pili Campus Administrator. Dr. Ilene Basitan Mirabeles, Dean of CVM, also discussed the significance of the pinning ceremony.
The program also included the induction of newly elected officers, awarding of certificates, and a batch audio-visual presentation. Dr. Clarita P. Borela, Program Chairperson of CVM, delivered the closing remarks.
