The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the DOST-PCAARRD GIA-funded ItikPINAS Project, expanded community-based duck production in Camarines Sur through a partnership with Happy Farm, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing and the distribution of ItikPINAS ducks on October 14, 2026, in Minalabac, Camarines Sur.
The activity took place at Happy Farm, owned by Mrs. Nenita Villegas-Velarde, and was attended by Mr. Joey A. Belarmino, Director of the Department of AgricultureโAgricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI); Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano, CBSUA Vice President for Research and Innovation; Mark Anthony Ampongan, ItikPINAS Project Leader; Dr. Emma G. Jarcia, ItikPINAS Study Leader; and Dr. Ronilo De Castro, Supervising Science Research Specialist of DOST-PCAARRD, together with the councilโs monitoring and evaluation team.
