The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture through the Human Resource Management and Development Office conducted a seminar entitled “#TogetherWeCan: Identifying and Responding to Student Red Flags” on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, 8:00 AM- 11:30 AM at the CND Hall with invited resource speaker, Dr. Jim Rey Baloloy, RPsy, the chair of Psychological Association of the Philippines- Bicol Chapter.

The event was spearheaded by the Human Resource Management and Development Office through Mr. Luigi Lorenzo Razal, RN and University Guidance Counselor, Leizle B. Manacob, RGC, RPm.

The activity endeavored to equip the teachers with knowledge and skills to identify and recognize warning signs of mental health conditions or “red flag” behaviors that need immediate concern and to provide support and empower them to report and refer students who may need interventions. The activity also aimed to promote a safe learning environment for all students to support student development and well-being.

The university president, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, graced the activity. The University Vice Presidents, Dr. Ana E. Mirana and Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo also attended the event and extended their full support to the endeavors promoting the mental health and well-being of students and members of the CBSUA community.
