CBSUA participated in the recently concluded “Rebound: Bicol MSME Summit,” held on October 21, 2022, at the Marison Hotel, Legazpi City.
The event was participated by various groups led by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Tabang Bicol Movement (TBI). DTI Secretary Alfredo E. Pascual, in his keynote speech, shared DTI programs that can help in the rebound of the MSMEs after being hit by the pandemic.
CBSUA was among the SUCs that actively participated by sharing with the participants its Collaboration with MSMEs to promote innovation. The services that MSMEs can avail from the University, as well as the research and extension programs it implemented involving MSMEs, were emphasized in the presentation.
A roundtable discussion with the DTI Secretary was also held, which was participated by selected groups, including SUC representatives, to discuss how sustainable scaffolds be extended to the MSMEs, mainly how the SUCs and other leaders of the Business sector can promote innovation and rebound of Bicol MSMEs.
