CBSUA Signs MOA with Local Universities and Colleges (LUCS)

In the continuing pursuit for quality education, CBSUA forged a tie among the LUCS in the province, Governor Mariano E. Villafuerte Community Colleges (GMVCCs) of Libmanan, Siruma, Garchitorena, and Tinambac. The different provincial colleges were represented by the College Administrators; Maricel R. Peñero, Engr. Roemil S. R. Ondis, Engr. Ramon Salvador C. Agawa, and Engr. Hobert Ubalde respectively. Aside from the provincial colleges mentioned, Baao Community College and Calabanga Community College also participated in the said endeavor represented by their respective College Administrators, Maricel R. Peñero and Maria DT. Sadia, PhD.; this is still part of the IDIG Grant by CHED that was awarded to CBSUA aimed to bringing the university closer to the community. The MOA signing took place at the CBSUA Auditorium on August 4, 2021 at 9:00 A.M.

The parties recognize the fact that as the educational landscape of the country drastically changed because of the current pandemic. And since every Higher Education Institution has to respond positively to these changes by continuously upgrading its curriculum, the need to conduct the necessary faculty development trainings is seen as the way to be able to adapt to these changes.

Furthermore, this initiative of the university is a manifestation of Pres. Alberto N. Naperi’s strong commitment in bringing the university closer to academic community. One way is by sharing learning, technical, and human resources to the participating LUCs as discussed during the luncheon meeting facilitated by the VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ana E. Mirana. Right after the MOA signing, the concrete course of action to be worked out to realize the objectives of the collaboration was laid down.

The Campus Extension Director, Prof. Vladimir Foronda; CRD Director, Prof. Vergel Mirana; the respective Campus Administrators and Deans of the Colleges; Joseph Roe Ondis, Focal Person of Provincial Colleges; the IDIG Project Members—Prof. Dennis Gabon, HRD/HRM Director Luigi Lorenzo N. Razal, Dr. Christopher B. Dacer, and other relevant stakeholders of the participating LUCs graced the occasion.
