The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) officially welcomed international guests from Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK), Indonesia, during a Welcome Program Ceremony on October 7, 2025, at the SWKS Building.
The delegates from the Faculty of Agriculture of UMK are composed of two lecturers and four students. Representing the Agrotechnology Program are Ms. Heny Alpandari, S.P., M.Sc, together with students Ms. Khilmiana Pradati Rahmawati and Ms. Amalia Intan Sabila, who will be under CANR through the BAT Program. Meanwhile, representing the Agribusiness Program are Ms. Winda Widyastuti, S.P., M.P., with students Ms. Alfi Fadilla and Mr. Aril Ardiantpo, who will be under CEM in the Agribusiness Program.
The event gathered university officials, faculty members, and student representatives to extend a warm welcome to the UMK delegates. The program included the introduction of the Indonesian guests and a brief discussion of the planned engagements aimed at fostering academic and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
In the afternoon, the delegates made a courtesy call to the Mayor of Pili, followed by visits to the Office of the President, the Vice President for Research and Innovation, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), and the College of Economics and Management (CEM). They also visited the Agriville and the Soil Discovery Park for a short campus tour. The delegation also made a courtesy call to the Office of the Vice President for Business and External Affairs (VPBEA). Assisting the Indonesian guests during the afternoon activities were Dean Fortunato M. Balbis, Jr., PhD; Dean Edmundo Casaul, Jr.; Mr. Arvin D. Saluna; and Mr. Emilio O. Ibarbia.
