Guest Lecturer on Foreign Language and Sharing of Best Practices in Education among ASEAN Universities

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture with its commitment to strengthening the quality of education in the ASEAN region ensures international collaborations, as well as coordinated investment initiatives to promote sustainable development across borders. With this, the College of Development Education’s REQ-ASEAN Integration in Education and Foreign Language course, in partnership with Universitas Mataram, Indonesia continue its traditional practice that involves cooperation to forge cutting-edge knowledge.
The CDE spearheaded the event Guest Lecturer on Foreign Language and Sharing of Best Practices in Education among ASEAN Universities with the theme “BREAKING BOUNDARIES: Knowing the Unknown” on May 05, 2022 via Zoom videoconferencing. It was participated by Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Elementary Education students taking REQ course. Dr. Santi Farmasari, Head of English Education Department, UNRAM was the guest lecturer who imparted about the basic Bahasa Conversational phrases. SEAMEO-SEA Teacher Batch 7 and 8 participants shared their experiences during their internship abroad.
For the inbound students to CBSUA were Mr. Fahrid Al-Mu’arief, and Vincentius Erhan Pradita. While the outbound student teachers to Indonesia include, Ms. Christine Allen Boncodin, Ms. Jerizza Marie Lagdaan and Ms. Joey Ann Belga. Indeed, it was a successful event with full of learnings and takeaways. Through this activity, the College of Development Education being a Center of Development, a Level IV AACCUP accredited, and a QS 3-stars program remains to commit itself to the undeniable delivery of high-quality education.
