Rodeo Club-CBSUA Chapter mobilizes Donation Drive

Rodeo Club Philippines-Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (Rodeo Club-CBSUA) Chapter conducted series of relief operations in November 2020.

The team pursued first wave of relief operations in Calabanga, Camarines Sur amounting to P14, 400.00 on 8 November 2020.

Despite the pandemic, through the financial support from benevolent donors and benefactors, College of Veterinary Medicine and Rodeo Club-CBSUA Chapter distributed relief packs in the affected areas hit by Typhoons Quinta and Rolly.

Rodeo Club coordinated with barangay pastoral council representative, Mr. Lito Santos, in the distribution of a total of 50 packs of relief goods, clothing, and facemasks.

“We are also thankful for those people who donated financially or in-kinds, and for the other barangay pastoral council members who assisted us in distributing the relief goods to the person in need,” said Rodeo Club member.

On 16 November 2020, the said organization conducted the second wave of relief operations amounting to P14, 462.00 at Barangay Paolbo-Belen, Calabanga Camarines, Sur. The group coordinated with Rev Fr. Francisco Parza III and Brother Marco Daso in the distribution of a total of 100 relief goods containing rice, canned goods, and hygiene kits good for 100 families residing in the said barangay.  The team was grateful to those people who donated financially or in-kind, and for the other barangay pastoral council members who assisted in distributing the relief goods.

The club conducted the third wave of relief operations on 29 November 2020 in the municipalities and selected barangays of Bato and Virac, Catanduanes. With coordination to Mr. Sigfred Irus Triunfo, and his mother, Mrs. Arlene Triunfo, the group distributed a total of 200 packs of relief goods, 8 sacks and 2 boxes of clothes, 40 boxes of facemasks, and 40 pieces of face shields amounting to P25, 108.00 in the areas of Bato, San Andres, and Virac, Catanduanes. The Triunfo family distributed the said packs on behalf of the group in Barangay Binauahan, Batalay, Aroyao, and Pananaogan. Catanduanes Governor, Hon. Joseph Cua of Virac, assisted through freeloading of the relief goods and other in-kind donations in the ship bound to San Andres, Catanduanes.

The said activities were initiatives of Rodeo Club and its Alumni Association to support those severely affected by the typhoons.
