SIP 2023 KICKS OFF AT CBSUA WITH GOAL TO BOOST GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP

Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) welcomed delegates from the South Intensive Program 2023 on January 30, 2022, with the objective of fostering global engagement and citizenship. The opening program was held at the CBSUA Auditorium, where Dr. Naperi, the CBSUA President, delivered a deeply felt welcome message, emphasizing the significance of the program in the holistic development of students.

The program brought together a diverse group of 24 students from four universities in the Philippines and 24 students from two universities in Belgium. The participants are set to embark on a 2-week cultural and field engagement program in the Bicol region, which aims to provide a unique and enriching experience.

Dr. Vladimir Foronda, the ESD Director of CBSUA, and Ms. Lies Vestraete, the coordinator for Global Engagement of Vives University, introduced the participants and coaches, and provided an overview of the entire program. The opening ceremony was a resounding success and set a positive tone for the remainder of the program.

The South Intensive Program 2023 offers a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and enhance their global citizenship skills. CBSUA is honored to have hosted this meaningful event and looks forward to future opportunities to promote global engagement and citizenship.
