Writing Winning Proposal, Introduced

Continuing the legacy of developing researches which are useful and relevant, Research Director, Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez spearheaded the “Writing Winning Proposals:Project Development and Resource Generation for Research, Development and Extension”on 17-19 July 2019 at CN Divinagracia Hall-CBSUA.

The essential purpose of a research proposal is to convince the evaluator of the value of a project and its competence. This proves that the researchers have plan of work and the project will be successful. Funding agencies have to be sure that it is not another useless piece of the research proposal, but a profound work of research that will be extremely important for academe and most especially to the community.

The CBSUA-Research Division, in line with its aim to promote quality researches and produce research proposals worthy of being funded either institutionally or externally. The division initiated three-day write shop on proposal writing to give knowledge to the faculty-researchers how to make project proposals and enhance their technical writing abilities.

Included in the list of participants in the said activity were Dr. Hermelina F. Azanes, Dr.Maria Carla Narcisa L. Baduya, Dr. Lourdes S. Bascuna, Prof. Frannie A.Belarmino, Prof. Ana Cecilia B. Fajardo, Dr. Claribelle Haber, Dr. Ludivico B.Homilliano, Prof. Arnulfo l. Nebres-Lee, Dr. Melinda P. Pan, Prof. Josephine A.Red, and Prof. Tena B. Sonia from Pili Campus. Three faculty-researchers were from Pasacao Campus namely Dr. Jayson M. Dañas, Prof. Diomedes G. Jalmasco, and Prof. Ian Victor P. Nebres (already a member of Pili Campus) while six participants namely Prof. Richard G. Castro, Prof. Roselyn C. Chavez, Prof. Arlene J. Lagonoy, Prof.Vicente M. Lita, Prof. Gil F. Pangindian, and Prof. Evelyn L. Perez were from Calabanga Campus, and Prof. Basilio F. Aguirre, Prof. Arce D. Bellere, and Dr.Maria Liwayway P. Matamorosa were the representatives from Sipocot Campus.

The activity provided opportunity for the researchers to broaden their knowledge in working on researches based on the writing discipline’s standards. It also was the venue to disseminate the steps in the division with regard the procedures in the proposal evaluation process.

With this activity some of the participants who proposed and presented their research proposals saw how to make proposals worthy of being funded.
