The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for the extension project titled “Capability Development of Farmers on Crop Productivity Enhancement,” held on April 17, 2026, at Carmel Agri-Learning Farm Inc.
The activity formed part of the preparation for the AACCUP accreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program and aimed to evaluate the project’s contribution to improving the productivity, farming practices, and overall capabilities of farmer-beneficiaries.
The FGD was attended by beneficiaries of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Program, who actively shared their experiences and highlighted the positive outcomes gained from the training interventions.
Present during the activity were Ernesto Asence III, External Evaluator and Acting City Agriculturist of Naga City; Santiago K. Cervantes, President of Carmel Agri-Learning Farm, Inc.; Leah Banasatao-Sumalinog, CANR faculty member; and Abigail V. Guinoo, Director of the Extension Services Division.
Through initiatives such as this, CBSUA continues to strengthen its extension services and foster partnerships that support sustainable agricultural development. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘦 𝘎. 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵
