The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) successfully underwent the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) Visit for its Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND) Program today, September 24, 2026, at the Board Room, Administration Building, CBSUA-Pili Campus, marking another milestone in the Universityβs continuing pursuit of quality and excellence in higher education.
The assessment was conducted by the Commission on Higher Education – Regional Quality Assessment Team, led by Dr. Annylyn Dy-Camoto, CHED-RQAT Representative, together with Dr. Ma. Pamela Sorra-ViΓ±as, PhD, who joined the activity virtually via Zoom.
During the assessment, the RQAT reviewed the programβs documentary requirements and initial compliance with the standards prescribed for the BSND program. The assessment also provided the University with an opportunity to present its academic resources, faculty qualifications, facilities, curriculum, and other program-related requirements.
Following the assessment, CBSUA was granted the Report on the Result of Preliminary Assessment (RPPA) β Level 1, signifying that the proposed BSND Program has successfully passed the initial tier of documentary evaluation and compliance screening.
The result is a significant step toward the programβs formal operation. Upon the issuance of the corresponding Initial Permit by CHED, the University will be granted a temporary period to operate the program and admit students while continuing to comply with the requirements for higher levels of quality assurance. During this period, the University will work toward addressing any remaining conditions and requirements necessary for progression toward a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
The University expressed its appreciation to the RQAT members for their valuable insights and recommendations and recognized the collective efforts of its administrators, faculty, and personnel in achieving this milestone.
The successful completion of the Level 1 preliminary assessment reflects the collective efforts of the University community and reinforces CBSUAβs commitment to the delivery of relevant and quality academic programs.
As CBSUA moves forward in the succeeding stages of program compliance, the University remains committed to addressing the recommendations of the assessment team and ensuring that the BS Nutrition and Dietetics Program meets the standards expected of a quality higher education program.
