Marking the beginning of a new administration at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez formally takes over as the University’s fourth President, succeeding Dr. Alberto N. Naperi during the Presidential Turnover Ceremony held on October 29, 2029, at Alvaro Rabina Hall, Pili Campus.
The ceremony featured the symbolic handover of the University Mace from Dr. Naperi, CBSUA’s third President, to Dr. Ramirez, following the reading and presentation of turnover documents. The ceremonial exchange signified the transfer of leadership and responsibilities to the incoming administration.
Dr. Ramirez’s assumption of office opens another chapter in the University’s administration, following the tenure of Dr. Naperi and the institutional developments undertaken during his leadership.
Expressing confidence in the University’s incoming leadership, Dr. Naperi assured the CBSUA community of a promising future under his successor.
“I am very proud that we created another future leader of CBSUA who will make a difference more than what we had, and I would like to assure you all that what we created here is a leader that will definitely provide a much better development for our university. We are in good hands with Ma’am Monet,” Dr. Naperi said.
In her acceptance speech, Dr. Ramirez expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her and shared her aspiration to elevate CBSUA to Level V status during her four-year term.
“With a grateful heart, I truly accept the presidency of this university, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, not only as a position, but as a sacred stewardship. And with you all helping me in the next four years, we can move forward and work it out for CBSUA to be converted into Level V,” Dr. Ramirez said.
The turnover marks the beginning of Dr. Ramirez’s four-year term as CBSUA President, ushering in a new administration that will oversee the University’s academic, research, extension, and institutional development initiatives in the years ahead.
