Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairman, Hon. J. Prospero ‘Popoy’ E. De Vera III and CHED Commissioner, Hon. Aldrin A. Darilag convened with Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges- Bicol (PASUC- V) Members, State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Presidents, at Casa Lorenzo, Daraga, Albay, on 6 May 2021.
The dialogue with Chairman De Vera together with Commissioner Darilag focused on the SUCs’ operations especially in the present situation. The Chairman and Commissioner, likewise, updated SUC Region V Presidents on the reforms introduced relative to governance in CHED and on support to Philippines SUCs in achieving quality assurance.
In the same event, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) thru its President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, signed Memorandum of Agreement with Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT), Masbate stating CBSUA’s assistance to DEBESMSCAT to comply with the requirements in becoming full-fledged University through provision of adjunct professors from the CBSUA faculty. This innovation was one among many actions introduced by CHED thru the leadership of Chair Popoy De Vera.
