QA holds Training Workshop for Institutional Accreditation

The Quality Assurance (QA) Office spearheaded the Institutional Accreditation (IA) Training Workshop on 3, 5-6 May 2021.

Consultant and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc., Dr. Maria Glenda O. De Lara, served as Resource person in the training workshop where the Vice Presidents, Campus Administrators and QA coordinators of all the campuses, dean, directors, unit heads and the Institutional Accreditation task force of all the campuses were the participants.

Dr. De Lara critiqued and gave recommendations to the Self Survey Ratings (SSR) presented by the Area Leaders/Representative of Pili IA task force to improve the ratings and guide the group in the completion of the requirements, proper documentation and packaging. The resource speaker likewise emphasized that the Self Survey ratings must be 4 or 5, and as much as possible no rating of 3 for CBSUA to be institutionally accredited.

Challenged to showcase the proofs of the ratings, Area VII – Library  thru Dr. Rolando P. Oloteo, and Prof. Julie Amara M. Bondilles representing Area V – Extension, Consultancy and Linkages, presented their Institutional Portfolio (IP) as models receiving positive notes from the critic. Moreover, to enhance the said reports, Dr. De Lara gave suggestions and points for improvement.

The Quality Assurance Office handles the many accreditation bodies that the University engages in.
